On to Eric's graduation in MD but first... get diesel fuel at RaceTrac for $2.79 a gallon. Price in pennies is important when you're filling up a 100 gallon tank and get 6-8 mpg. I scope out the cheapest fuel on gasbuddy.com but Irv with the eagle eye sometimes spies a great price then we have to drive through the station with the car to determine if we can get this 40' coach in and out with some ease. Then get fuel for us at Cracker Barrel... grilled cheese (my Mother's favorite) and homemade vegie soup like she used to make (off the children's menu, of course)
It almost takes calculus to find a campground and/or Walmart at just the distance we want to travel but what a find for tonight. Melton Hill Dam Campground, a TN Valley Authority project by the Corps of Engineers (half-price). Beautiful, huge concrete parking pad in a gorgeous setting. After dinner Irv and I took a walk down to the beach on the lake to watch the sunset over the dam as the boats cruised by and children splashed and giggled at the swimming beach. Irv and I often comment (especially in the keys where the sky and ocean are different every day) what a good job God did creating this earth for our pleasure. The skies truly do glorify the Lord.
Good thing I keep a spread sheet on where we are to be each day as one day flows into the other. I had to look to see where we went next... the Walmart in Dublin, VA. After a refreshing night, we head up to the North Fork Resort in Front Royal, VA. What a huge place right on the Shenandoah River.
Let's see... Suwanee, Flint, Chattahoochee, Shenandoah and tomorrow as we travel to our campground in Woodbine, MD, we'll cross the Shenandoah again and... the Potomac at Harper's Ferry as well as go through VA, WV into MD.
Ramblin' Pines Campground is wonderful and pristine. Irv enjoys the pool while I do a little, much overdue coach cleaning. We are very dirty people... filled up the vacuum canister. How did I keep a seven bedroom, three bath house clean?
Finally, Eric's graduation day from Owings Mills High School held at McDaniel College in Westminster, MD. At the awards ceremony on Wednesday prior to graduation on Thursday, Eric received a number of awards... President's Education Awards Program, Award for Educational Achievement; Maryland Scholars Award with Distinction;President's Volunteer Service Award;and the Owings Mills High School PTSA Scholarship Award. We gather for a pre-graduation celebration dinner. Great to see everyone and hear about... how Eric injured his ACL playing his beloved basketball. He's the best three point shooter from the farthermost point I have ever seen, upcoming MRI and possibly surgery; Eric's cousin, Lauren's internship in Prague and trips to visit her there. Uncle Neil says driving 100 mph, you better be in the right lane or get run off the road. Haven't seen Neil, Renee and family since New Year's Day in the Keys; and Adam's 45 pound weight loss (last year he made up his mind at 220 pounds to loose it) and stories of his junior year at the University of Scranton so we'll have another graduation next year in PA and Mom, Faith has already booked hotel rooms as they go fast and I've checked out the campgrounds. Adam plans to continue another three years to get a Doctor of Physical Therapy. We miss Jason who won't be flying in from AZ until Friday from a business trip and... Jason's love, Karina will be flying in Friday as well from the UK with her three year visa in hand
On to the big event!!! Congratulations!!!

What's so funny,Ben... Ben, Grandma Wanda, Grandma Barbara, Lauren, Faith, PopPop Jerry and Nanni Sonya.
We are so proud of Eric and his honors. He will be attending James Madison University. Grandpa and I like that. It's a straight shot from FL up I-75 to I-81 to James Madison and on the Scranton.
Everyone asks us what trips we made so far in our RV. The answer is up and down the east coast... first to Long Island to see our brother and sister-in-law, then 2009 for Jason's graduation in Rochester, NY; 2010 Kelly, Emily and Eric; 2011 Adam; 2012 Kelly for her Master's; we get a break until 2014 Adam, Emily and Eric then no more until Madeleine's high school in 2018; 2020 Caleb; 2022 Owen and Madeleine college; 2023 Grace; and 2024 Lucas and Caleb college. Sorry my brain went into overload... can't do the rest.
In the meantime, Irv wants to sneak in a trip to Oregon next year.
