In 2014, I asked God for a senior apartment on the 9th floor with our balcony facing Kennesaw Mountain only four blocks from Marietta Square. He said, "No but I will give you the 8th floor." We moved in on July 29, 2014. God willing this is our final move. The view of the mountain is stunning and the sunsets are amazing. God literally outdid Himself. Well, He does promise an abundant life, doesn't He? Thanks, Praise and Glory to His name.

James Birthday and Jamestown Fishing Tournament
Where is all this fog coming from... visibility 1/4 mile or so as Wanda and Irv head down to Big Pine Key... So thick in some places, we can't see the water off the 7 mile bridge out of Marathon.
Irv and I volunteer to clean the church along with several others once a month so we arrived on Big Pine Key at 9am. By the time we get to Big Pine the weather is perfect... sunny, 75 degrees, 8 mph breeze and no chop on the water.
After cleaning we go directly to Coco's Restaurant for breakfast... 2 eggs, grits, bacon and cuban bread with cuban coffee for $5.00. After nourishment we picked up a birthday card then headed down to Jigg's bait and tackle to get a gift certificate for a church friend, James' 70th birthday party. It's a weekend event with the party on Saturday and the "Jamestown" fishing tournament on Sunday. This is the 11th and last annual event as our friends will be in Japan next year visiting their children who live there.
James and his wife, Sandy reside in Big Pine Key on a canal in a beautiful home with pool, two under roof boat slips with patio, and 100 foot dock on a gorgeous, topical acre.
The keys are filled with extraordinary and diverse people. Very few are "couchs" (born and raised in the keys). This party of 150+ guests was no exception. From Canada to Severna Park, MD to.... some key residents of years, some "snow birds", and some just on an extended vacation.
Most own boats (James owns three) but Irv and Wanda normally get a lot of questions about the full-time RV'ing lifestyle. Seems like it's the dream of many folk.
James and Sandy visited a friend's ranch in Texas last December where they hunted and shot two deer and a wild boar which was the main course at dinner. The guys begin cooking the deer and boar in the special wooden boxes putting the coals on top at break of dawn. Everyone brought a dish which filled the 32' long buffet table plus an 8' appetizer table.
On our way to the car to get our chairs, there was a family of Key Deer enjoying a meal of the neighbor's shrubs. Took their picture with phone. Thanks to David for all the other professional pictures.
Once the sun sets, Irv and Wanda give their thanks) and make their goodbyes to attend Saturday evening church at Keys Vineyard Community Church (the fisherman's service) We arrived in time for dinner but could not eat... wonder why.
Darkness finds us crossing the 7 mile bridge on the way home after a glorious day of service, fellowship and worship. To God be the glory and praise for this wonderful life he's given us.
