Ir and Wanda had a great time

Love to Dance

The fun continues as Wanda enjoys the Marietta Vineyard Ladies Fellowship dinner at La' Madeleine's Restaurant. There were about 20 of us. I got to meet some new ladies and spend time getting to know my friend, Rebecca better. You all know Irv (always) and I have converted to a healthy diet which I will continue after the Brown Reunion, Father's Day dinner, Olli dinner and dance, and dinner with the ladies but in the meantime... desert is certainly in order.
OK, it's Wednesday... shopping day. Wanda has looked at all the weekly ads online, prepared the list including stores and prices to compare, designated the stores and route (no wasting gas backtracking) so off we go. We joined Sam's Club and have already re-couped our membership fee with gas ($3.15 this week), nutrition and OTC products, groceries, as well as Irv's favorite... Salmon. I've learned though, warehouse clubs and/or the biggest packages are not always the best price so I keep my handy phone calculater in hand. Next to Wal-mart, Kroger (seniors 5% Wednesday discount), Life Grocery Healthfood Store (Hemp Hearts, Flax Seeds and Coconut Milk and oil), Aldi's, the International Market for yogurt and last (thanks Cam for introducing me to) the Dollar Tree. Now all this takes about 2 1/2 hours but we enjoy it and as all of you know, like my Mother... I would rather save money that eat when I'm hungry.
It is a fact... one good deed brings on another rewarding chore. We are using so many new health foods, I had to re-arrange the pantry which of course required a thorough cleaning. What a sense of satisfaction after only 2 hours... a beautiful pantry. Hard work and sweat do pay off and now... a long, refreshing shower. Unlike the RV with an 8 gallon hot water tank, the key word here is... long!
Saturday brings another wonderful day. We're going to the 148th Kennesaw Mountain Civil War Battle Anniversary. Check out the pics and stories on our blog coming soon.
